The Medical Manager (MM) is a medical content champion for HAVAS Health in Shanghai. The MM will work closely with and report into the HAVAS Life Medical Director of China. The MM will provide strategic medical input / oversight and insure high quality medical content and strategy to clients for existing projects. The MM will work closely with the Account teams in either Shanghai or Beijing offices as well as Creative and Digital teams to provide medical support to strategic concept creation and oversight in development and execution of creative and tactical campaigns. The MM, working in tandem with account lead, will maintain / grow relationships with existing clients and establish relationships with new clients for business growth by acting as a key medical resource for HAVAS Health in Shanghai.
Medical Expertise
•Provides medical content leadership, and helps facilitate creative and account teams understanding of therapeutic areas and opportunities for clients products
•Oversees development of medical strategy for projects based upon understanding of current treatment standards
•Continually explores medical content and strategy to help overcome client obstacles and /or realize opportunities
•Appropriately interprets and applies clinical data, therapeutic knowledge and current healthcare practice into medical strategy
•Works with Creative, Digital and Account teams to turn medical insights and strategy into innovative creative and education campaigns for HCPs, Patients and Market Access stakeholders
•Champions HAVAS Health medical offerings with clients
•Utilizes medical insight and strategy ideas to expand existing client business and win new business.
Client Relations
•Maintains client contact and is medical resource for clients
•Attends briefings and project meetings of clients
•Helps to develop big ideas for client products from medical insight / strategy
•Seeks opportunities to continually strengthen quality of client relations through medical excellence
Development / Thought leadership
•Works with HH account teams in China to expand strategic medical thinking
•Proactively engages account teams on possible medical solutions for existing clients problems
•Develops for medical insight and strategy in new business pitches.
Requirements
·Typically requires a MS or greater in a scientific/clinical field
·More than 2 years working experience in medical/healthcare field either on client or agency side; actual clinical practice experience within China is a plus
·Possesses strong medical insight and strategy background and able to quickly learn new therapeutic areas
·Has high enthusiasm, flexible / open thinking, curiosity, cooperative spirit, and demands high work quality.
·Fluent in Mandarin is a requirement; English reading is a requirement with verbal fluency a plus.
